Carmel English Medium High School, Kotekar

Carmel School, Kotekar saw the light of day on the first of June 2006 in response to the felt need of the local poor to have an English Medium School. It was the decision of the Management , The Apostolic Carmel Educational Society to start an English Medium Higher Primary School in 2006 and High school in 2009 . “From IGNORANCE To KNOWLEDGE” is the Motto of the school and the school focuses on two Important objectives - equal importance to Prayer and a Value based life and importance to academic performance and co- curricular activities.

Classes are from Std. I to X. The School secures a very good ercentage continuously in the S.S.L.C examination.The entire school faculty works together as one team supporting, encouraging helping one another. They are hardworking, loyal, dedicated and have a sense of responsibility. They put in a lot of extra work besides their teaching as the School has a number of activities organised. The P.T.A committee is a strong support in the administration of the School. Creativity is an outstanding trait of the school. The school conducts training in Band, Dance, Karate & Instrumental Music. Five students participated in the National level Karate Competitions and have secured the awards. The Scout and Guide unit is active and it inculcates discipline in students and love for the Nation.

Much importance is given for sports. One of the students won the first place in Long Jump at the State Level and has gone up to the National Level. Through the constant support of the Management, Staff and PTA Carmel School stands high. Long live Carmel School!
