“Midlife is not a crisis. It is an unraveling…unraveling of the deep potential lying hidden with us”

The young and old at St Agnes met together to celebrate the gift of the sisters in the age group of 50 - 70 to the community on 15 August, 2019. The day unraveled with a beautiful prayer led by Sr Norine wherein the sisters rededicated their lives to the Lord and promised to be sweet fragrant flowers in Gods’ garden. Mass was offered for their intentions by Fr Vijay Victor Lobo. Sisters were wished in the refectory with the words of Mother Veronica and asked to be ‘a shining lamp in the world’.

The atmosphere of celebrations continued in the afternoon and in the evening. Sr Maria Roopa, the Superior had a pleasant surprise for everyone. The Chaat stall was brought right into the convent and Sisters savoured different delicacies of Chaat.

The celebrations had a grand Finale at Recreation when the Sisters were ceremoniously brought to the Recreation Room with umbrellas and to the tune of drums and flute. Mother Veronica crowned the Sisters with a tiara acknowledging their beautifully led lives. Fun games were conducted for the Sisters which eventually closed the doors on this fabulous day.
