The ACA Animator along with the Sisters of St. Agnes Community put up a Finale for the ACA’S on July 16th at 8.00 p.m. depicting the significance of the Day. The Feast of the Lady of Mount Carmel is dear to all the Carmelites. This year the Apostolic Carmel Congregation celebrated the 152nd Anniversary of its Foundation which invites its members to reflect on the uniqueness of the Charism gifted to them by their beloved Foundress Venerable Mother Veronica. The General Chapter reinforces in them a call to be mystics and prophets of today through the theme of the Chapter, “Rooted in our Charism we respond prophetically to the needs and challenges of our Life and Mission today”. LONG LIVE VENERABLE MOTHER VERONICA THE FOUNDRESS OF THE APOSTOLIC CARMEL CONGREGATION.
The sisters of St. Agnes Community deeply appreciate the response of the A.C. Associates who took keen interest in learning the details related to online sessions. They succeeded in participating in the online meetings conducted by the Animator and more so in the online program that was organized solely for them. Though most of them are of age nothing prevented them from thinking out of the Box. The members not only participated in the celebration but also organized a short program where in they greeted the sisters of the community.
On this occasion the Animator Sr. Maria Gracilda also welcomed Sr.Dr.Lydia Fernandes the new Superior of St. Agnes Convent who in her message said that one need to LISTEN, PONDER and RESPOND to the Word of God as it was done by Mary the Mother who gave JESUS to the humankind to redeem and save the world. Secondly she stressed the relationship and the filial devotion that one need to have with Mary the Mother. On behalf of the sisters of the community the Superior greeted the A.C.Associates and appreciated them for their active involvement given at all events.
On behalf of the Superior and all the sisters of St. Agnes Community the ACA Animator appreciated the ACA members for their wholehearted support and cooperation given in every way and requested them to continue to give Jesus to all through yet more creative celebrations. May Mary the Mother Carmel keep all of them and their dear families under her loving care and protection .
