St Ann’s Teacher Training Institute, Mangaluru, a pioneering institution for Teacher Training held its Inaugural Programme of the New Academic year 2022-23 and the Investiture Ceremony of the Student Cabinet here at the College. The Programme began with an invocation through a graceful prayer dance by the students followed by a traditional welcome. Sr Marie Lucy A.C., the Joint Secretary of the Institution, also the Chief Guest of the day, inaugurated the New Academic Year by lighting the lamp. While addressing the Teacher Trainees, Sister spoke on the sacredness of the profession and their role as teachers in the life of every student they encounter in this noble profession. She also explained the Four Types of Teachers, and finally invited the student teachers to be the Great Teachers who inspire. The Inauguration was followed by the Investiture Ceremony at which Sr Pramila A.C., the Principal of the College, administered the Oath to the Student Cabinet. At the cultural programme, a large number of student teachers exhibited their talents through dance, art, singing and drama. This gave them a sense of joy and contentment to know their own gifts and talents. Sr Pramila A.C., the Principal welcomed the gathering and Miss Ayisha proposed the vote of thanks while Mrs Shilpa and Miss Prajna Rai compeered the programme. The programme ended with College Anthem.
