The republic day was celebrated with solemnity at the school campus. The students came dressed with splashes of saffron green and white exhibiting patriotic fervour. Teacher Rita who is due for retirement was the Chief Guest. As the national flag unfurled, national anthem accompanied by the Band echoed in the entire campus.

Standard ‘IX A’ was in charge of the programme. The students rendered a prayer song “Pray for India” and the stage was set for the cultural show. A “Mime Show” silently gave a loud and clear message that a person becomes a handicap by not performing his or her duties towards the nation.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

“A Street Play” highlighted the 11 fundamental duties and a pledge was taken to serve the motherland with heart body and soul and bring it glory.“A Dance Drama” free style story tale displayed the Pangs of Indo Pak division and the serious problems the country is facing since independence. It left the audience inspired and spellbound.

This was followed by QUIZ TIME BASED ON INDIAN CONSTITUTION. Chief Guest Teacher Rita gave away the certificates to the meritorious students. The programme ended with distribution of sweets.
