The CST Bidar unit organised a summer camp for 6 villages namely Gunalli, Jamgi Colony, Rasoolabad Malegaon, Markal and Sultanpur of Bidar Taluka which began from April 10th and culminated on May 6th 2023. Around 450 students enthusiastically participated from class I to X.

The main purpose of this camp was to develop sound character, to explore their abilities and to identify their talents.

The CST staff together with the coordinator Sr. Christine Misquith AC along with Sr Maria Reetha AC and Lilly Pushpa AC planned out the activity based programme which was executed by the staff.

The children were engaged in the following activities:

1. Prayer
2. Yoga/Aerobics/Exercises
3. Action Songs
4. Basic teaching (Languages and Mathematics)
5. Craft
6. Games
7. Group activities like Quiz, Fancy Dress, Dance, Acting.
8. Moral Education through stories/life examples

The exuberant learners zealously participated and showcased their diligence towards each planned activity. It is said, "You have not lived today until you have done something for someone who can never repay you", so the entire CST staff engaged themselves to reach out to these poor children in spite of some inconveniences specially lack of proper place, hot sun in the open place etc. The outcome of summer camp is, it is extremely beneficial to the children. To continue to provide a platform, follow up "Children's clubs" are formed in every village.

The success of the camp relied not only on CST staff but the contribution of the entire Karnataka Province. We are grateful to the Provincial Superior Sister Maria Shamita, the Councillor for Social Apostolate Sister Julie Ann and to all the donors. May God reward everyone for their generosity and good will.
