Apostolic Carmel, Karnataka Province gets the new Provincial Superior

Mangaluru February 1, 2019 : On January 31, 2019 the sisters of the Apostolic Carmel, Karnataka Province gathered in St. Ann’s Convent Chapel, to pray for the guidance of the Holy Spirit during the Eucharistic celebration celebrated by Rev. Fr Paul Melwyn D’ Souza OFM Cap.

Sister Maria Shamita A C

The delegates of the Provincial Chapter elected the new Provincial Superior Sister Maria Shamita A C, Principal of St. Agnes PU College. The four Councillors elected are Sisters Maria Kripa, Maria Melissa, Maria Shubha and Julie Ann. Sister Linet D’ Souza was re-elected as Provincial Bursar.

The Superior General Sister M. Susheela A C presided over the elections. The new team will assume office in April 2019.
