Nov 09, 2017: The Pre University Education Department, DK, Mangaluru and St Agnes PU College, Mangaluru jointly organized the Taluk Level Throwball Tournament on 26 October, 2017.
The Chief Guest Mr Pradeep DSouza inaugurated the Tournament. The Chief Guest in his speech stressed the importance of sports in students’ life and also mentioned that students should grab the facilities from the government and enhance their overall development in the field of sports.
In the Tournament, altogether 25 teams had taken part. St Agnes PU College bagged the ‘overall championship’ trophy in the Girl’s category and Paduva PU College won the winner’s trophy in the Boys category.
Dr Sr Maria Roopa, the Joint Secretary of St Agnes Group of Institutions; Sr Shamita AC, the Principal; Sr Norine DSouza, the Vice Principal; Mr Premnath Shetty, District Level Sports Convener; Mrs Jayashree, the Convener and the Physical Directress; Mrs Anita Dehnugar, the Vice President of PTA were present for the inauguration. Ms Nidhi was the Master Ceremonies for the programme and Ms Diksha welcomed the gathering.
